Article 33. All advertising and printing in connection with Transit Traffic shall be mutually arranged between the three Administrations, and the cost thereof shall be borne by each line in the proportion of their respective Transit Receipts.
Customs Arrangements.
Article 34. The arrangements relating to Customs shall be settled by mutual agreement between the Customs Authorities and the three Administrations.
Force Majeure.
Article 35. Should one of the Railways governed by this Agree- ment be temporarily unable at any time owing to Force Majeure to fulfil the provisions and conditions thereof for the operation of Transit Traffic, the said Railway shall immediately notify the other two to suspend temporarily Transit Traffic, and all accounts between the three Administrations shall be closed up to the day following the issue of such notification. As soon as the cause of such temporary suspension is removed, the Railway in which such Force Majeure occurs shall forthwith notify the other Railways of the resumption of all Transit Traffic. The Railway in which such Force Majeure occurs shall not be respon- sible for any damage or loss incurred by the other Railways resulting from the temporary suspension of traffic, although it shall make every effort to return Rolling-stock belonging to the other Railways.
Duration of Agreement and Procedure for Alteration or Modification.
Article 36. This Agreement shall come into force on the First day of November, 1937, and shall continue in force for two years. Upon the expiration of the said period this Agreement shall become null and void, unless three months before the expiration of the said period the contracting parties by mutual consent agree in writing to renew it in whole or with modifications.
Provisions for Supplementing or Modifying this Agreement. Article 37. All Transit Traffic matters between the three Railways not provided for in this Agreement, or any modifica- tion found desirable during the period it is in force, may be settled by mutual agreement between the three Administrations, and such modifications shall be construed to form part of this Agreement as if they had originally been incorporated therein.
Text of Agreement.
Article 38. This Agreement is printed in Chinese and English, both versions being equally authentic. Five prints are made and are signed by both parties thereto : The Ministry of Railways, the Hong Kong Govern- ment, and the Administrations of the Canton-Hankow Railway, the Chinese Section of the Canton-Kowloon Railway and the British Section of the Canton-Kowloon Railway shall each retain one print.

RULES GOVERNING TERMINAL CHARGES.
(1). Terminal charges shall be as follows:-
Higher Value Goods
Class 1 Goods
50 cents per ton.
45 cents per ton.
Class 2 Goods
40 cents per ton.
Class 3 Goods
35 cents per ton.
Class 4 Goods
30 cents per ton.
Class 5 Goods
25 cents per ton.
Class 6 Goods
20 cents per ton.
(2). The above terminal charges do not include loading, unloading, covering, uncovering, shunting into private sidings, or any other special services.
(3). Terminal charges levied by the Canton-Hankow Railway shall be in Chinese National currency and those levied by the British Section of the Canton-Kowloon Railway shall be in Hong Kong
currency.

Goods on which terminal charges cannot
be levied on the basis of tonnage shall be subject to a terminal charge calculated at the appropriate rate for 12 kilometres per unit li.e. per vehicle, per head, etc.).
